PACCAR Leasing Opens In Australia

BELLEVUE, Wash., May 13, 2015 – PACCAR Leasing Company (PacLease) has announced that it has entered the full-service truck rental and leasing market in Australia. The announcement was made today at Australia’s largest truck show being held in Brisbane.
PacLease Australia will begin renting and leasing Kenworth and DAF’s full line of trucks from the Kenworth DAF Melbourne full service dealership in Laverton, Victoria.
“PACCAR Leasing is truly a global company and our new operation in Australia is an exciting addition to our portfolio,” said Neil Vonnahme, president of PacLease. “Next month we will celebrate our 35th year in business in the United States. We began operations in Canada two years after PacLease’s launch in America. We entered the Mexican market in 1995, and we’ve been leasing DAF trucks throughout Germany since 2007. The move to Australia continues our strategic momentum.”
According to Vonnahme, PacLease Australia is headed by Olen Hunter, who had previously been the North American director of sales for PacLease since 2006. “Olen has relocated to Australia and has been working with our North American and Australian teams to prepare for our launch in this great market,” said Vonnahme. “He will also work closely with our Kenworth and DAF dealer network throughout the country. There are significant growth opportunities in Australia for commercial truck rental, contract maintenance and full service lease units, and we’re confident PacLease will be very successful. We believe private fleets in Australia have a desire to outsource maintenance and take advantage of the financial benefits that full-service leasing has to offer. We are going to be there to meet their needs with the quality trucks that Kenworth and DAF provide, backed by the customized PacLease programs that have proved successful throughout the world.”
